In Genesis we learn that It was out of pure love that God created the world, for he has no limitations and no other reason was necessary. It is here that each of us can begin discovering the meaning of our own lives. We also learn that God created man, and he created them man and woman. When the two come together before him they become a “new one.” and they are instructed to Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. Genesis illustrates perfectly the Holiness of Marriage and family and that they are central to Humanity. In order to separate man from God, the devil must labor to destroy them both. As Pope Francis stated, “the family was never was so attacked as it is nowadays.”
In 2014, Ecce Films was commissioned by the Vatican to produce a series of documentary films for a historic gathering of religious and cultural leaders from around the world, hosted by Pope Francis. The theme of the gathering was the complementarity of Man and Woman. THE HUMANUM SERIES was received with universal acclaim, blending human experiences, social sciences, art, animation, religion, and philosophy into a short-form documentary format. The production included shoots in France, Nigeria, Lebanon, Mexico, Scotland, England, and the United States.
The design of Man and Woman has been revered in all cultures throughout human history. The yin and the yang, the masculine and the feminine, are timeless and elemental. Man & Woman "fit" within with the cosmos like complementary colors.
